We’re kicking off the third year of Design= classroom workshops on March 9th with DxD Core Partner, Intuit, and their design team. Working with our amazing collaborators YWCA National Capital Area, Women of Tomorrow, Career Exposure Camp, and Black Girls CODE, young men and women in the key cities of Detroit, Baltimore, and Washington, DC will learn more about the world of design and design as a viable career path for people of color from DxD Program Partner, designExplorr.
Intuit joins partner organizations, including Design= Founding Sponsor Amazon, committed to diversifying an industry that lacks the perspectives, creativity, and talent of Black and Brown people. Raising awareness of all that design has to offer at a young age is the first step in bringing racial equity to the profession.
And, as we transition from Black History Month to Women’s History Month and International Women's Day coming up in March, DxD is especially delighted to bring Design= workshops to organizations where young women of color are inspired to learn skills that open up opportunities for a successful future.
We can’t wait to share more program highlights in the coming weeks. In the meantime, are you and your organization ready to make real impact and help bring design to creative young minds? Join us. No time like the present to change the future of design…for good!
