DxD coalition launches first pilot program

One of the systemic challenges faced by many design programs serving underrepresented students is a lack of industry partnership opportunities. In June, DxD partners Delta Dental and SFSU’s School of Design met with coalition facilitator Impact Collaborative to launch the first official DxD initiative, a pilot program to begin to address that challenge.

The corporate + higher education collaboration will work to expand opportunities for SFSU design students in the areas of internships, collaborative project work, and in-course exposure to career designers. There's much more to come from this alliance benefiting the urban, mainly first generation students of SFSU!
