Richard Jennings is a creative leader and storyteller with extensive experience in design development for multiple mediums. He currently serves as Senior Vice President, Design + Production & Interactive Design, HBO & HBO Max, WarnerMedia., where he oversees an in-house marketing design and production team of 80, who have set the company’s standard of excellence in print, digital, and interactive design; key art; copywriting, and editing; animation; project management; OOH production; environmental; merchandising; branding, and more. The team not only services HBO, HBO Max, and Max Originals, but also partners and collaborates throughout all of WarnerMedia verticals.

Richard exemplifies the belief that it’s never too late to follow your passion. Starting his career later than most in the industry, and with no access to mentors or diverse role models for guidance, he paved his own career path. This sense of initiative drew Richard to a range of fields within the creative community, highlighted by his tenure as vice president at Warner Music Group, where his leadership talent broadened as he developed and managed an expansive team.

When DxD launched last month, Richard said, “It is so important that there is exposure for youths to understand the opportunities and have access to continued support throughout their path. It took me a long time to start my design journey because I did not believe this dream was even possible.”

His love for creativity along with a drive for self-education led him to pursue an MFA in Graphic Design, which he completed in 2019. Richard has leveraged this achievement to continue to help motivate and inspire those around him.
