A program that develops and supports collaborations between industry partners and institutions of higher education that serve historically excluded populations.
The participant completed the Fall 2022 DxD Intensives program, a collaboration between Workday, an enterprise management cloud company, and San Francisco State University, a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) and home to the nation’s first College of Ethnic Studies.
Coursework in Fall 2022 centered around the challenge, “Design a digital tool, an app, or a service that makes working in a hybrid model more inclusive” — to provide student participants with industry experience; touchpoints to a professional network; and a highly relevant project for their continued design career.
Participants spent the semester addressing product capabilities; user experiences and constraints; and collaborating with their peers and interfacing with their Workday Mentors.
DxD Intensives — which develops and supports collaborations between industry partners and Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs) of higher education — is a program of the Diversify by Design (DxD) coalition.
